#wbbride of the Month

Mrs. November

To say that November has been a whirlwind would be an understatement! We are FINALLY back in our newly remodeled home and couldn’t be happier. The WB is back and better than ever and we are defiantly counting our blessings. We are very lucky to have such a beautiful place to call home and since Thanksgiving has just passed, we are even more thankful for the most important part of the WB…THE BRIDES that trust us to help along this journey down the aisle!

When it came to deciding on our Mrs. November, it was no brainer! This #wbbride was one of our most sweet and memorable brides and we are so excited to share our bride of the month for November—Mrs. Ann Blair ‘Thornton’ Housefield! We couldn’t wait to catch up after her first year of marriage!

Warren Barrón Bridal: Let’s be honest, none of this would happen without the proposal! So tell us how he popped the question??

AB:  Ryan travels a lot for work, and every once in a while I’ll join him on a trip if it’s a fun part of the country. He was in Newport Beach for a couple of weeks, and last minute asked me to tag along. I guess I should’ve been clued in when my plane ticket was first class—but alas was not expecting a proposal on a dang work trip! He picked me up from the airport, immediately drove to the beach, and got down on one knee at sunset! It was simple, sweet, and still brings tears to my eyes.

Warren Barrón Bridal: What was the inspiration behind your wedding and was there a part of the process you liked the most?

AB:  “Simple and sweet” is kind of a reoccurring theme here and that’s exactly the kind of dress/wedding I wanted. As we both have ginormous families, the wedding was family only and because of that, relatively small. I knew an over the top dress wouldn’t feel right at a smaller wedding, so classic and understated was a must, but I still wanted it to feel uniquely mine! The illustrious Catherine at WB took this direction and found the absolute perfect gown. I’m so grateful for her guidance!

The ceremony took place at Christ the King Catholic Church and the reception was at the Penthouse at The Stoneleigh. Both beautiful venues, so the need for decor was minimal! See? Simple and sweet:)

I KNOW this is going to sound like I’m only saying this because they chose me as November’s Bride, but it’s true! I LOVED working with the ladies at Warren Barron. Not only do they carry the most beautiful dresses, but they are the most fun people to be around as well! Three of my best friends came in town for a weekend visit from Kentucky (where I’m from) a couple of months before the wedding, and I took them to the store to see my dress. They STILL talk about how our WB visit and the women there were their favorite part of the trip.

Couldn’t love y’all more!

Oh gurl we love you too!!

Warren Barrón Bridal: Being in the pagent world, you have worn many gowns so what made your wedding gown “the one” and what was your favorite part about it?

AB: I chose “The Cape” by Lela Rose because it just felt right. I grew up doing pageants, and thus have worn dozens and dozens of gowns, so I didn’t expect to get that feeling that everyone talks about. But I did! And still do!

I also loved that I could have two looks in one. I wanted a bit of a different look for the reception, but didn’t want to buy two dresses. Remove the cape, add some fab earrings, and viola!

I loved the faint floral pattern on the fabric. It was just enough of a pattern that it felt different and unique, but not enough to make it veer from the classic look I was after. I’m not certain which flower it actually is, but I decided it was a gardenia—the inspiration for my bouquet!

The absolute sweetest! We can’t say enough good things about Ann Blair! We are so glad that we got to be part of your big day and congrats on your anniversary!
